Christian Louboutin Eggs

Asylum was commissioned to produce Faberge eggs for the opening of Christian Louboutin’s Mount Street store in London.

We designed and initially produced one large enough to take a 5ft 6in mannequin. We then produced a smaller sized unit in a variety of different colours to display the beautifully crafted shoes.

The eggs were covered in embroidered gold over a brightly coloured two-pack finish, and the interior was lined with a padded buttoned silk. The larger eggs had spinning footplates giving a 360-degree music box-like view.

These became so popular that we produced several ranges in different colours that display his shoes throughout the world.
