Atrium Spheres

This original Acrylicize design depicts the River Fleet that flows underground and close to the property in High Holborn, London.

Acrylicize created the design in CAD, using a replication of patterned clusters. This simplified the installation, as these were pre-constructed at our workshop. Thousands of the plastic balls had at least one hole drilled in at a specific depth and were pieced together in preparation.

We created templates which were mapped all along the two walls of the atrium for drilling the required holes. The clusters were then slotted into these to form the design accurately.
