Red Nose Day 2019

Asylum Supervisor

Mark Ward

Comic Relief teamed up with Sainsbury’s to produce this publicity stunt involving a set of giant noses for Red Nose Day 2019.

Asylum produced two extra-large noses on plinths and a 1 metre wide version, strategically placed on the Mud Giant in The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Finally we crafted a small shiny nose for Greyfriars Bobby, the statue of the famous terrier in Edinburg.

Vinyl lettering was cut for the baseplates of the 2.3m diameter noses and sealed with a matte lacquer for weather proofing, before they were transported to various places in the UK over the course of two weeks.
