Graff Diamond Explosions

Asylum created the vibrant colour effects for Graff Diamond’s explosive advert. Photographed by Jonathan Knowles, our team worked closely with him to achieve the colourful explosions inline with the designer’s vision.

We fabricated the geometric stands for the rings to sit on and a custom set for containing the powder effects. For the explosions, we tightly packed blends of coloured powders and loaded them into a rig capable of detonating theatrical charges. Our in-house computerised firing box was used for precision timing. The result is a dazzling effect of colours and particles captured at exactly the right time.
