Baileys Luxe Stills

Photographer

Asylum Supervisor

Asylum fabricated the models used in Baileys Chocolate Luxe advert stills, shot by acclaimed photographer Dan Tobin Smith.

We modelled several bottles bearing the qualities of chocolate in various states. An original bottle was cast and recreated in hard resin to emulate the effects of shattering and melting chocolates. A vac form mould was also made to create a custom crinkled-paper cup for the bottle to nestle snuggly like a truffle.

Experimentation was required  for creating the luxuriant gold foil wrappings. Various materials and thicknesses were tried before settling on the correct effect. Resin dust that looked like cocoa powder was carefully fixed in place for the final set-up, so the effect was consistent throughout the photography session.
