Abbey National Lewis Hamilton

We initially started with a digital scan of Lewis Hamilton in his race gear. The information from this was then manipulated to create the components of the Airfix kit and then 3D printed. The process allowed us to keep as much detail as possible on such a small scale.

The car was built in a 3D package and then broken down into parts and printed much in the same way as the sprue figure. Some extra bits were made of Lewis and the car that were fully artworked. We also had a real car on set that we controlled the movements of. Unfortunately we were not allowed to start the real engine up.
