Sweeney Todd Titles

Asylum created all the live action elements for the title sequence for Tim Burton’s latest film Sweeney Todd.

The sequence follows a trail of blood from the Todd’s barber shop through the bakery and in to the sewers. Red liquid dripping, running down half pipes, bleeding down walls and splattering on glass were all filmed in a variety of ways so the director had a catalogue of elements to use in the final composite.

Perspex sheets, with heat bent dips, allowed the funnelled flow of bright red fluid. For precise control, CNC’d troughs were used.
