O2 Star Wars Box

We fashioned the Star Wars inspired box for O2’s live ticket-giveaway event for ‘The Last Jedi’. Streamed on social media, participants were invited to crack codes in order to open the box, which would reveal glowing perspex tickets to the European Premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Initial drawings from the client were drawn up in CAD so the intricate opening mechanism could be designed. We machined out the detailed panels with the appropriate slots for LED lighting and piston hinges. All of these were driven by Arduino in order for them to work in timed sequence with each other.
